Over the course of the past year I have built a pedal board, acquired a drum machine, and gotten an electric guitar so I can do the whole 1 woman band thing so I am hoping this will hold me accountable to getting more comfortable with using pedals and being plugged in. I am a classical guitarist by training and my sound has traditionally been more acoustic and stripped down. This will be my first year officially attempting this challenge. Additionally, and more importantly for me, as a female musician in the local indie/rock scene, I’m thrilled to connect with other artists with different backgrounds and experiences! My father gave me his guitar a year ago, that’s our family heirloom. But I really like to sing, and those two can’t happen at the same time.
